[Elecraft] K2/100 power cycle

I just finished up my new K2/100. I nticed that if I turn it off via the =
12 volt power supply then back on that it powers up with the fan on high =
and a high temp message. If I turn it back off then turn it on via the =
K2 power switch all is well. Is this normal. Before the 100 amp module =
was installed I could cycle the power via the 12 volt supply and just =
leave the switch on the K2 on.
 Also when I key it in CW the output power goes up and down about  5 =
watts on the 100 watt setting. I know the manual said this swing would =
be there but is 5watts swing normal.
