The bandwidth of the OP1 filter is approximately 2000 Hz wide. The actual
width will depend on your particular crystals and their characteristics.
Some variation can also be attributed to manufacturating tolerances of the
other components in the filter (mainly the capacitors)
The bandwidth of most filters is measured at -3dB.
Usually we use Spectrogram to set the BFO frequency rather than
characterizing the filter (although characterization is possible). I have
usually set the BFOs so that the OP1 filter passband is centered between
markers of 300 Hz and 2300 Hz - it has worked FB on several K2s that I have
built.
If you are characterizing the filter, you will get a more accurate picture
with the AGC turned OFF - for setting the BFO, it will not make any
difference.
