[Elecraft] Coax and the walking VFO

Couple of questions for the experts.

1.  I believe I hit the walking VFO problem this weekend.  It only
happened once and while I was transmitting.  I can't remember how that
got resolved.  Was it a firmware change?  Note I should have the latest
code that came with the KPA100.  I can't rule out hitting the tuning
knob by mistake but I don't think I did.

2.  Can anyone suggest a type of coax that is more flexible than the RS
RG-8U I'm using now, especially when its cold?  I need it to handle 500
watts so the thin stuff probably won't do.  I only need a run of about
30 feet.  I run my K2 into an SGC500 amp up to a Fluid Motion beam
portable from my truck.  Wrestling with coax that doesn't bend is a real
pain.
