I'm one of those who piped up in an earlier thread about putting the K1 on
10 m. It was a discouraging and short-lived thread, so thanks to Wayne for
making it sound possible this time around. If anyone has the skill and
initiative to make it work, I'll be ready to follow up.

Meanwhile, a related, though slightly off-topic, query: Why is there no
exemplary QRP rig for 28 MHz? The K2 will be out of my price range for a
long while, but beyond Elecraft, the other prominent QRP-rig vendors and
kit-producers go no further than 15 (except, perhaps, for PSK). I've seen
the Iowa QRP 10 "challenge" online, but last time I checked that appeared to
be a stalled project. Isn't 10 meters an outstanding band for QRP, at least
during sunspot maxima? And a great "local" band, too? And a common band
required for VHF/UHF transverters? What am I missing?
