[Elecraft] K2 power output tests at low supply voltages

I just tested an aircraft emergency locator transmitter battery with
indicated voltage of 13-14 Volts (no load) on my K2. A fellow ham here
has a large supply as they are routinely replace every year for safety
reasons.

So now I understand why I got reports of modulation on my 5W CW when the
indicated voltage dropped down to 8.5 Volts or so. I guess the low drop
8 Volt regulators get a hard time then.....
