There are many ways to improve the sound of the sidetone, including the new one
posted by TF3MA.
The way we did it on the revision B K2, which is nearly identical to an earlier
published app note, does not result in any type of "plop" or other audio
artifacts. In our case we used an 82 mH inductor, the same one that we use in
the KAF2. There's also a 47 k resistor involved in the mod. The quality of the
resulting sidetone is excellent.
