[Elecraft] Slinky Question

All:

I want to install an antenna for my K1 in an attic with many metal object, 
including power and phone lines, metal closets, ridge vent,  filing cabinets, 
ceiling light fixtures, etc.  and will appreciate feedback on the following:
       1. What impact will all this metal have on my signal?  One option is a 
44 foot   
       inverted V dipole with a zig or zag in each element, and
       2. Does anyone have experience with a slinky antenna?  One option is 
an 
       inverted V with two slinkys in the area with the fewest metal objects.

The ridge is just over 8 feet high.

Running an antenna wire thru an exterior wall or window is not an option.
