[Elecraft] Drift Mod Kit, Results

      I have just finished checking the drift of the BFO after adding
the new coil from the PLL/BFO Mod kit.  Previous drift was -1.1 PPM
per degree C.  The drift is now -0.4 PPM per degree C. which is 36% of
what it was before.
       I replaced the PLL reference crystal X1 but found that the new
crystal drifted slightly more than the one I had used before.  I had
already removed one of the crystals but I had not done the addition of
R19.  The results were original with two crystals, 1.1 PPM per degree
C.  After removing X2 done before the MOD kit was available, 0.5PPM
per degree C.  Using the Kit crystal and R19, 0.6 PMM per degree C.  I
used the better crystal.=20
       The kit has made a worthwhile improvement and I recommend it.
