Guess what:
Just received my KAT100 today and am also missing the 34 .1 caps.
I guessed they must have been in a separate envelope as they are all
missing. As they are the only caps totaling 34 it's kind of hard to
misidentify them from the other caps.
I was quite surprised when opening the Reflector to ask if I was the
only one to be blessed with missing parts with every K2 project built
and the first message seen was from W3HVG stating he was also missing
the 34 .1 caps.
With my past luck if only 2 kits out of 500 were missing parts I would
be sure to get one of them.
You guys engineered a fantastic bunch of radio stuff but you forgot to
teach
your #&^*$#*&%$#^%$& packers how to count.
Just kidding you Eric.... I build locomotives and you should see the
parts I
find that were left off. It kind of stands out when you have 6 wheels on
one side and 5 on the other.
My best to you all at Elecraft. Your stuff is beyond words.

Hi Pat (and the other KAT100 owners who reported missing 0.1 caps),

The 34 0.1 uF caps are in a separate envelope from the other caps to
make
them easier to identify. They are blue with a 0.1 inch lead spacing and
look
different from the red 0.1 caps (0.2 inch lead spacing) used in the K2.
Could you have misidentified them?

The correct email to use for the fastest response on missing parts is:
[email protected] .

If you confirm they are missing please email [email protected] and we
will
get them out Monday first thing. We will also check all other KAT100s
in
stock to make sure they have the caps.

I apologize in advance if they are actually missing!
