[Elecraft] FT-100 knob and TT 516 Knob

Hi
I have a TenTec 526 6 and 2 meter rig. This radio is built in the same case
as the 516 and uses a lot of the parts. The knob on the 526 is molded
plastic and has no metal weight like the K2 knob. I cut up some old lead
wheel weights and 5 minute epoxyed them into the outer part of the knob to
add some heft to the knob. It is still not as heavy as the K2 knob but it
does have a better feel than the original. The knob in the picture of the
516 is different in that it has a dimple for your finger but it may be made
the same as the 526 knob if that is the case I don't think you will like it
on your K2. Before ordering a knob from TenTec I would want to see the knob
in person and see how it is made or if someone on the reflector has a 516
they may want comment on the knob. The K2 knob has a few shortcomings but I
have not found anything better. The Yaesu knob is nice but it really doesn't
look like it belongs on the K2 in my opinion.
