I agree with Jay.

So, as long as we're on this question, where can get a cheap spinning
reel (I think that's what I want) to use with a slingshot?
And how much is cheap?

   I looked at the picture in the URL you provided, and wonder if this 
   device could sling something nearly straight up and over a tree. I use 
   the real mccoy slingshot gizmo and it shoots a weight w--a--y up in the 
   air over the tree and back to the ground. Also, the weight is strong 
   enough to pull the fishing line down through the branches to the 
   ground.

   The size of the "gun" in the photo just doesn't seem like it has the 
   shooting power of the slingshot. You can really pull that sucker back to 
   get it over the top. Scary, but it works FB.
