    3-4 years ago, I was the head of R&D at an embedded company.  I left
for various reasons and found myself in the middle of the internet boom.
Then, well, it got ugly, and I found myself cranking out code for yet
another doomed startup and missing the hardware work.  One night, in a fit
of irritability, I pulled the surround sound amp out of the AV rack.  
We'd recently added a PVR and there just weren't enough inputs left.  1-2
weeks later, CD and Tape2 sported video lines where none had been before.
Having thusly reaquired a solder addiction, a K1 order was placed, and the
rest, as they say, is history :).
