Then there is the infamous QRP+ that has a 1A diode used as a reverse 
voltage clamp with a 3A fuse ahead of it ... guess which will blow first in 
a reverse voltage situation! :-) I picked up a "spare" QRP+ final amp board 
(a freebee) that had been subjected to reverse polarity -- NOT a pretty sight!
