[Elecraft] S/N 3000

Hi

Well I didn't want to mention it but I am sure he is quite involved in th=
e next surprise Elecraft may have in the works for us all. =20

I did enjoy building the radio. It was a basic QRP K2 and was the fastest=
 I ever built one. I received it on a Friday about 2:00 PM and had it fin=
ished and aligned on Sunday mourning about 10:00 AM so I could ship it ba=
ck on Monday. About 20 or so hours actual building time. I did spend some=
 additional time playing around with it and making sure everything was pe=
rfect. Wayne told me this was a K2 to replace the one he has been using, =
S/N 00001 a one of a kind prototype that has so many mods that he did not=
 want to show the insides at convections and shows. I think it is going i=
nto the Elecraft museum. When S/N 4000 or S/N 5000 roll around I will be =
happy to build them also.

Thanks for doing that, Don.  We'd all suffer if Wayne took time out to =20
do something like that :-)
