[Elecraft] Nr 2905 lives

Greetings to the folks on the list. A special hello to the fine folks I 
remember from my packet radio days.

K2 SN 2905 came to life last weekend, and saw its first action in the 
CW sweepstakes this weekend.
I am very impressed by the receiver; it beats the tar out of my old 
SB-303. One station did manage to
"crunch" the receiver, although only mildly. The OM is only 3 miles 
away and was running a KW or
so into a nice 20m beam. Still, I saw effects only when I was within 
about 20 KHz of his frequency,
and even then it wasn't all that bad. As I said, very impressive. I 
managed to connect with every
station I called, either within the first or second call. All on only 5 
watts!

Less impressive were my CW capabilities. Fifteen years away from 
copying code takes its effect.
Still, within a few hours I was able to keep up with the big boys who 
seem to not like to QRS...

My compliments (again) to the Elecraft folks. What a super rig!
