I have an SEC 1223.  Only since listening on Topband have I noticed it
chucks out crud every 20kHz up the band.  It is definitely being picked up
by the antenna, I can hear it on both the K2 and another RX powered from a
different source.  The crud vanishes on the K2 when I switch to the
terminated Ant-2 port and vanishes on the other RX when I switch the 1223
off.

I have also noticed that the crud moves in frequency when I toggle the
display illumination, only to be expected.  Same effect on both receivers.

I believe the noise is on the output leads because when I power another RX
which uses the raw 13.8V supply line without any internal filtering or
regulation for some circuitry I hear a low level whine on the audio.

At the moment I'm only drawing 0.30A to 0.32A from the supply on receive.
No other load but the K2.  The intention is naturally that it will supply
the demands of the KA100.
