I didn't have this problem when I wound T1 & T2.  Make sure that the wire
passes through the core only 22 times and the winding is tight.  Also
make sure you don't have the larger cores for T1/T2 reversed with the
smaller cores for RFC1 & RFC2.

Also make sure you're using the #28 AWG red enameled wire supplied with
your KSB2 kit and not the #26 AWG red enameled wire that comes with the
K2 kit.

Anyway, you shouldn't allow the 22-turn winding on T1 & T2 have their
turns overlap.

Yes, one of the toroidal RF chokes (on tiny cores) is mounted vertically
between RP1 and X3 and the other is mounted vertically between RP2 and
X5, both on top of the board.
