Hi All,
            After my last post Gary e-mailed me to advise that there was a
problem with some KAT1 PIC's not being correctly programmed and that a good
PIC was "in the mail". Well, in keeping with Elecraft's excellent service I
had one seven days later. I installed it last night and was relieved that
the tests and set-up were successful, although I may have to re visit the
VSWR sensitivity. I am now looking forward to experimenting with various
lengths of wire.
            I would like to get hold of a couple of those BNC to Banana
jack(5 way binding post) couplers, they don't seem to be available at the
local Dick Smith store so I may need to search the Radio Shack site. Does
any one on the list have the Cat No or any other alternatives?
            Next is the installation of the noise blanker.
