I have the HM-10 AND a re-wired HMM-Ic (electret designed for Icom).

I'd be happy to check with you about them on the air sometime.

I also have a tiny(!) preamp (actually source-follower, from Heil) 
installed in the HM-10 which seems to help with output a bit.

Whichever you you tell them to wire it for. I used Kenwood.
