What problems are you presently experiencing?

As was previously stated, toroids are no magical entity. If one takes the
time and care to follow the excellent instructions supplied in the K-rig
manuals, all should be fine.

However, particular care should be taken to ensure that the tinning is done
correctly. Carelessness in this aspect with the barefoot K2 can create
pesky problems while PTTL with the KPA100 can be disastrous to component,
notably  the power transistors.
