[Elecraft] KAT100 and low power?

Hi Wayne, and gang,
                            This may be a silly question, but will the 
KAT100 will still work with the radio set to low power?
i.e Will it still work when the high current supply is not applied?
If it is a "scaled up KAT2 I imagine it will......but it is safer to ask 
instead of presuming I guess !
