Speaking for myself, any comments I make regarding Rcvr comparisons are
based on data published on line (ARRL and at least one other place). I
do not have the lab to do these tests, but I do understand the results..
I do agree that the RX environment is important. If my local noise
level is S8, having a receiver able to hear an S1 signal (vs. one which
hears only an S2 signal) is not of much practical value. Then features
which deal with that noise are more crucial.
