[Elecraft] K1 Filter board changes...

Can someone tell me as I can't seem to find it in the book at the moment!
    
If one has say a 4 band Filter board and one wants to changeover to a two band
Filter board in the K1, does the CAL procedure have to be repeated for the
4 band board when it is replaced?  Reassigning the bands would be quick
and simple, but doing the recalibration would be a pain in the butt!
Is the offset information stored in the filter board's chip or the front
panel chip?  (Which is what I suspect!)

If this is the case, I could tolerate whatever error I get in readout
on the two band board!  Want to have a board to work 80 meters
and another band, possibly duplicating 40 meters.  I could do 17
meters but I hardly EVER  work that band anyway!  80/40 would
be a good combo, eventually to get changed to 80/60 meters
when 60 opens up!
