You are probably not pushing hard enough... I found it necessary to use a 
small screwdriver and push on the back of the contact while resting the 
front end of the housing on a firm surface... They do click but sometimes 
it takes a little more effort with the heavier wire. Make sure the contacts 
are not twisted and go through the little holes inside the housing. Also 
make sure the contacts/wires are straight and go into the housing straight.
