My K2 has the stock Kenwood Dynamic Microphone 600 ohms - Probably an 
MC-43S.  The few times I've been on SSB -- it works fine.

Dug out the Kenwood <-> Heil adapter.  With the mike gain and compressor 
level set at max in both cases, the Radio Shack headset/boom mike sounds 
good across the basement as does a Heil ProSet with an HC-4.  I would think 
the BM-10 would sound equally good.  I did change the resistor on the KSB2 
board.
