They mount on the outside of the case, sorry.

If you have the KPA installed, you CAN power the K2 itself from the AUX 
power cable coming from the KPA, IF DC is plugged into it at the APP connector.

If you wish to use the K2 barefoot, even though the KPA is attached, you 
can do so easily by keeping the POWER control below 11W. If you wish to 
run >10W from the K2 only, then you should go to MENU | [DISPLAY] to 2nd 
MENU | PA | OFF to disable the PA and run the K2 at any available POWER 
setting.
