Hello Fellow K2ers,

I have been using my K2 #2535 as a 20m mobile rig with great success.
However, summer is here in NW Louisiana with temps now in the 90's, and that
means 120+ in the cab. I am worried about 'cooking' my K2, so I'm seeking
any tips/tricks used by other mobilers, short of leaving the K2 at home.

If it helps anyone, I'm using a Hamstick 9120 mounted on a 3 ft galvanized
flat bar bolted to my S10 bed about 2 ft behind the cab on the left side.
The base of the antenna is about 4 inches below the top to the cab. The
Hamstick is connected to a MFJ910 capacitor switch box mounted to the flat
bar in a plastic pencil case for weather protection. I check in to a couple
of nets twice daily during my work commute, and have never received a signal
report below 57, and get many compliments on signal quality. Must be the
Mojo!

Regards to all.....
Jim, K5JAZ
