[Elecraft] Something to build

Greetings,

I have a K2 #1672 and am extremely pleased. I recently got a Hakko soldering
station and now feel the need to melt some more solder.  I wanted to have
another receiver to listen to at my "easy chair" in the TV room. I was
considering building a K1 for that purpose. I know that many of you have
both a K1 and a K2. Does the K1 receiver hold a candle to the K2? Does it
have the cw filters? I will mainly listen to cw and occasional ssb.
I honestly believe I'm looking for an excuse to build another radio (toy)
but I know that so many of you have done the same, that this will help me
justify it.
I can see me building another K2 in anticipation of the coming 100w pa so I
can have a QRP K2 and a QRO K2.
I am also beginning to realize just how expensive the new soldering station
is going to be.
