I'm assembling the automatic antenna tuner KAT2...

The KAT2 manual is revision B, Feb.14,2000...

 - page 6 of the ATU Control Board Assembly...

the instruction is: cut a 1-1/8" length of insulated, solid-conductor
hookup wire. Remove exactly 1/4" of insulation from each end. This
jumper will form the 1-trurn link winding of T1.

Insertone end of this wire through the center of T1 and into the pad
labeled 5. Bend the wire down to the right and insert the other end into
the pad labeled 6. Pull the leads of the wire taut on the bottom of the
board, then solder.

If I follow these instructions exactly, the green insulated hookup wire
comes straight up vertically into the air from pad 5, curves over T1, with
a distance of about 1/8" between the hookup wire and the top of T1 without
touching T1, and then down to the right and into pad 6.

...is this correct or not please?...
