[Elecraft] K1 #1150 on it's first field trip

Less than a week after being built, #1150 is in CA away from its home in =
NC. =

On a three leg flight, I got picked out for "random" security inspection =

times.  Each time I had to explain the K1 in my carry on, a phone call wa=
s
made to "somewhere" to verify it was OK, and life went on.
Nobody seemed to care about the Parachute in my checked baggage ( I'm out=
 here
on a skydiving trip ) but the radio drew attention.

Running a stealth 40 meter dipole that I can only get up about 15 feet.  =
Band
was terrible last night,  made 1 contact with a terrible report, but had =
fun
anyway.  Will be there again tonight verrrry late.
