For the Century Club award,
NO, the other fellow's rig serial number IS NOT actually required. I see
your point about previous contacts where you did not record the serial
number and I would not want to penalize you for this. Keeping in mind
that these awards are issued on the honor system, I will presume that
applicants have honestly reported the contacts and that the other
fellow's rig is an Elecraft transciever (of any type). I will accept a
Century Club application without the rig serial number.
For the W.A.S.,
NO, the other fellow's rig TYPE is not actually required. I thought it
would have been of interest, however. I would accept a W.A.S. application
without that info.

Question? Although I often exchange the rig with the other op, I almost =
(Kx's excluded - then I often wind up with a serial number too!) never =
log the info. Is the other guy's rig required? If so, most retroactive =
contacts will not count. I'm VERY of sure my rig, as the Old Cubic =
hasn't seen an antenna since my K2 burped to life on 1/18/2002.
