Daniel, you will never regret building a K2 or a K1 for that matter...
I am nearing the end of building my K2#2032 and it's an experience you
will never forget, it's so muchn fun and the learning curve is
super...the last transceiver kit I built was a Heathkit HW-101...I keep
comparing the differences in building the 2 kits, alignment, technology,
etc...with the options I bought, noise blanker, ssb, atu, 160 mtr and the
Canadian dollar, I spent over a $1000.00 dollars but when I heard my first
signals come out of the K2 on 40 mtrs the money was justified!...and from
what I hear operating is another fantastic experience...I can hardly
wait...
...the e-mail support is EXCELLENT...I had a little trouble with the BFO
Range but an e-mail to Elecraft and Gary, AB7MY, came back with 2/3
possibilities and it turned out to be one crystal was shorted when I put
too much solder on one pin...cleared that up, put the crystals back in
with a piece of mylar underneath them and all was well...

...you're about to have an experience that is so good, it will stay with
you for the rest of your life!...
