Try building a 20 meter dipole using light magnet wire.
Take along a piece of ladder line with small alligator clips on one end.
You will also need about 6 common pins and a means of connecting the ladder
line to the rig.
Take a common pin and drive it into the two corners of the room where the
exterior walls meet the ceiling. The tiny pin-holes they will make in the
corner should be invisible.
Twist one end of each dipole leg to these pins and run them back in a V to
where they meet in the center of the ceiling.
Use a few common pins to secure the feedpoint and feedline.
Connect things together and you should be on the air with a full size indoor
antenna. If the room is a bit small then trim things down to 15 meter size.
Signal quality will vary with what is inside the wall but this provides the
best indoor chance for HF work.
Good Luck to all who try this. It worked pretty well from my first floor
condo apartment in FL at 3.5 watts on 15 meters.
