You might look into the Communication Concepts AR347 amp. Specs are 1000 watts
with a 10 watt input using a pair of MRF154s. It operates at 50 volts and
draws 40 to 50 amps.

Web site is:

I'm building the CCI AN762 now - 5 watts in 140 watts out. They supply a PC
Board, a bag of parts, a set of pre-wound transformers, and a cheat sheet of
instructions. Not up to "Kit Standards" at all since these kit amps would be
illegal under FCC rules. However, as a bag of components and brief directions,
they comply with the FCC rules for an amateur to build one per year. You will
need to add your own low pass filters and band switch to this system - the ones
offered by CCI are limited to 300 watts.
