Well stated.  One of the things that makes our hobby so enjoyable is that it
offers something for everyone.

The ham radio community is made up of people from all walks of life.  Many
of us are attracted to it for its technology. Others are attracted to it for
other reasons such as contesting, friendships, or just plain soapboxing (new
word?)!

It's ok to be a non-techie. If someone feels that they just aren't up to
building a Kx, hey, there is an abundance of us techies out here that will
do it for them for free, or for a modest fee! We should stress that avenue
to them as well as just offering building encouragement. It offers the
wavering potential Elecraft customer a sure path to success and it sells
another Elecraft kit, which benefits everyone.
