[Elecraft] RFI MP-1 antenna

I would appreciate answers to several questions concerning the MP-1 Portable 
Antenna.
! - Who manufactures the Antenna and where can I get Specs and additional 
information?
2 - In portable mobile use how effective is the automobile roof as a ground 
plane?
3 - Has anyone any comments on their use of the antenna?
4 - Considering the price, do you think it is a prudent purchase?
5 - I know quite well an antenna of this size is not going to set the world 
on fire, but considering it's size, I can't think of one which would approach 
it.
6 - Is the MP-1 MBKT base rod and whip included in the MP-1? 
7 - Does increasing the 2 ft. rod to 4 ft. improve any operation?  Probably 
not.
8 - Why would one want to purchase the MP-1 MBKT,  if it is supplied with the 
MP-1?
