Dick:    Sounds like your just missing the menu.   After you tap the
menu button,  tap your " WPM + "   key and it will toggle through the
various menus.   " INP "  is 5 steps up from from " OUT "
The menus are a bit confusing at first but work well once you figure
them out.

The readout
> at this point reads E42 which is normal.  When I Tap Menu, I get
"Out" and
