[Elecraft] K2 wish: separate settings for A/B.

Hi Listers,

comparing my K2 with TS850 I found one option which would be very useful
in K2 during pileups. When I use Split mode for answering DX station I set
RX VFO with narrow filtering and TX VFO with wide filtering. The usual
trick to find the answering station (by holding REV button an K2) would
widen the hearable spectrum in the transmitting zone of the pileup.

I think this modification could be done only in microprogram. How other
K2 owners think about the necessity of this new feature remembering the
Xfil settings in A and B VFO-s?

A more general solution could be remembering other settings too. This
would result a full feature memory for all bands. Let us see one good use
of it: cross mode operation (listening to SSB but answering on CW) would
be very simple just pressing A/B button. It is even quicker than holding
RCL and pressing number keys, good for contesters. Cross mode operation is
nice for basic kit owners. What is your opinion?
