Ah ha!  That was it.  I eventually figured out how to turn it off
too.  (There is no mention of how to do that that I found.)  I eventually
simply tried programming one of the PF keys as FPLY ON and figured out
that it works as a toggle.

Wishlist item: It would be nice if the RANT option, when programmed on a
PF key would toggle in the same way.
