I agree wholeheartedly.  A really nice, fully functional, 2m rig (something
nicer than what Ten Tec has to offer) would suit me just fine!

As for crazy ideas, a few months back (during the contest to find new ideas
for a K1 enclosure) I thought of maybe throwing a small LCD onto the face of
one and perhaps wiring in circuitry for either:
a) a hot rod version of a DMM - one with a really nice display, including
Freq. counter
b) a nicely done, small o'scope, similar to the type offered by some of the
better manufacturers (Fluke, etc).
c) a BETTER antenna analyzer (than the one currently offered by MFJ, etc),
for tuning those "odd pieces of wire" that my neighbors think are strange!

These three ideas are so similar, the o'scope package could probably include
everything.  Now, to try and find a way to run this off of NiMH batteries.

Just a thought!
