Something that I have wondered about is that fact that the wires to many
of the small components are made of steel, rather than copper.  The
chassis and screws of old wireless sets, made in the '30s and '40s, are
often covered in rust even though they were electroplated at the time. I
do keep trying to imagine what my rigs will look like in years to come.
