I also can achieve 10 Watts out both into a dummy load and into my 10
through 80 vertical (with 1.5:1 SWR). above 10.5 to 11 watts the Hi Cur
kicks in and limits power but it is still set at factory default. K2 #2260
latest with firmware.

I've searched the earlier posts without seeing a satisfactory reason why the
K2 draws so much current on 160m when running into a less than perfect SWR,
or on battery power. Yes, I know the K160 manual mentions this, but that's
answering why.
