Dave, Pierre,
I have the same problem on 160m . High current and max. output power of 4 Watts.
I have also noticed that PA output transformer is getting warm if I Keep K2 on transmit for 20
seconds or longer.
This happens with P.S or battery.
I didn't have a chance to check LP filter yet.

Hello,
My K2 is drawing a lot of current, on 160 W. I cannot go above 3 W, and it
draws 3 Amps, on a 50 ohms dummy load.
This is not changing, if I connect it to a battery, or to an external power
supply, even at 15.0 Volts. In addition, I can see that the Volts, on the
display, are wandering around, despite the stability of the power supply
itself.
N6WG suggested that the Low Pass Filter is not set where it should,
therefore the low power. (BTW, thanks for the suggestion !)
It can make sense. However, I had no time to check the LPF, with the antenna
analyzer.
Regards, Pierre
