[Elecraft] K1 # 690 back from the Dead

Reports of the death of my K1 have been greatly exaggerated.
I have to admit that I have had a blast building this unit, and
have been meticulous to the point of absurdity, but it has paid
off.  The K1 has worked flawlessly from Day One; I just didn't
know it.

The alignment of the Filter Board, be it the 2-band unit or its 
4-band brother, is sensitive, bordering on "persnicketty".  An
eighth of a turn of a slug-tuned inductor or a trimmer can make 
the difference between zero power out and nominal power.  As
long as you understand this and have patience, the rig WILL
come through for you.  Be slow and gentle, or you will fail.

I have posted favorable reviews for the K1 and the G4ZPY paddles
I have used for testing on eham.net.

On to the K2 box in the corner.
