[Elecraft] K2 On the Way -- Planning for Mods?

Bill,
I too have been confused concerning "official" vs. "user" vs. "general
interest amateur technical stuff" changes and modifications as expressed
on the Elecraft site. Late last year, I even proposed a better site
arrangement to help the user sort through the wealth of resources there.
These evidently are still on the "to do" list.

In the mean time, another site has an interesting summary, listed in a
straight forward table:

You might check this out.

73, and welcome to the Elecraft community.

Last week I couldn't wait any longer, and I broke down and ordered a
plain jane K2 kit. (I'll order options when I get the K2 mostly assembled)

I've browsed the Elecraft site, and I'm a little bit confused about the
modification listings there.

It's a bit hard to tell what's an "official" modification, what's a
"recommending" modification and what's a special purpose or an
experimental modification.

From my reading, about the only mod that appears to relevant to the plain
K2 are changes to the crystal case grounding and bypassing to reduce
filter blow-by.

Is there something I missed? What other modifications are recommended out
there?
