To all,
I thoroughly enjoy reading this list. There are excellent discussions on a
wide variety of topics, which provides very useful and valuable information to
everyone involved. Many thanks!

I, too, have been contemplating making use of my DC's while conducting QSO's,
for the noise cancellation (both in the mic and the phones) and ease of use
with a mic attached. However, I have some concerns, namely:

1) Yes, I understand that electret mics require a bias voltage. (I need to
check the microphone specs that are on my headset and see what the requirements
are) Yes, I also understand that it would be difficult for a K2 to provide
that voltage, if it were too high of a requirement. Would it be easier to
build a small biasing/preamp unit in order to use the Clark's, rather than
trying to "make it fit" by using matching transformers and such?

2) -- snip --
"You could get a 600 ohm to 8 ohm transformer from Radio Shack and use that to
match the K2, close enough."
-- snip --

I would hope that the output resistance requirement of the headphone amplifier
for the K2 would be greater than 8 ohms, since most headphones currently
distributed run in the 32 ohm category or above, but I cannot say definitely,
since I do not own a K2 currently.
