We usually have a propane lantern in the FD tent for light and heat,
and I keep a little candle lantern at my operating position. Last year,
James (ki7el) and I were operating at about 2am when my candle went out
and then the latern went out! It was pitch black in the tent and our
third member had gone to bed hours before. My hand was fortunately
already on the key -- James had to find his paddle by sliding his hand
across the desk until he heard the beep! After explaining the condition
to our respective contacts, James cracked a light stick, I pulled a
flashlight out of a pocket, and we all had some good laughs :).
Yeah, we like light sticks :).
