[Elecraft] K2 and the ARRL DX SSB

Our multi-2 team used the K2 for multiplier hunting again for the SSB part
of the ARRL DX contest with good results - the K2 is just tough to overload!
I did give it a present of it's very own bandpass filter so it had it a bit
easier than the CW weekend.   Never heard any sign of either 1500W
transceiver on the K2.    Mostly, we used the K2 on a Beverage receive
antenna to make lists of workable stuff on 75M and 160M and then the K2
operator would return the Beverage to one of the run stations and give them
the list.   This list maker would  then listen in on the run station audio
via wireless headphones as the run station worked this list.   One guy asked
me: "How come the signals sound better on the K2?"   Then he asked me what I
meant by "Mojo"...

 Eric called in with the K2-100 to say hi - I was not operating but was in
the room at the time - that was fun!  We lost a transceiver early on and
made do with a barefoot IC706 for an hour while someone went home for
another radio - that K2-100 option would have been handy!
