[Elecraft] I killed my K2 - mystery solved

To recap, here is where we left off:
I am installing the SSB module, Everything worked fine, including receive
until I installed the few parts on the Front Panel Board related to the
microphone. When I put it back together the display reads "EL" on power up
and the S meter is flashing. Nothing else works. I discovered RP3 on the
front panel board was backwards. Well, after a great deal of cursing, I
managed to remove RP3 and reinstall it in the right direction. Although, now
that I look at the schematic, I realize it makes no difference which way it
goes in. Thanks to all on the reflector who pointed this out.

Rig still dead and the S meter flashing. So far all I have done is guarantee
my K2 Front Panel Board will never win a beauty contest. Good thing the mess
is hidden inside the case.

Now there are only 8 parts installed on the Front panel so I study them
further and realize R13 doesn't look like the right value. Duh - it is not a
resistor at all. In fact it is L1. I put the real R13 on the SSB board
thinking that because it was colored blue, it must be an inductor.
Apparently the receive side will work just fine with the resistor in place of
the inductor.

Switched the two parts back where they belong and everything works fine.

Lesson for the archives:

Check your parts carefully. Check twice, solder once. Check once, solder
twice.
