THANKS!!! The first place we looked was the errata, but we missed it
somehow. If it had been a snake, it would have bitten us both. 73, Brian
and Zane

Check the errata. Both of those substitutions are listed.

Dan / WG4S / K2 #2456

Also, stick them in your meter, if it reads pF, that's a BIG help.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 Capacitor Indentification Problem

Hello all: We are just doing the parts inventory for our new K2. On the RF
boards, all the capacitors are accounted for, but we have 2 capacitor types
that don't match up.

C22,C33 are supposed to be 3.3pf. The manual (p.9) says these will be
"pillow-shaped, dark-green bodies about 1/8" (3mm) square, with a black mark
on top." The two unaccounted for caps we have are pillow-shaped, dark
yellow, and have

		001
		AHK

on one side and

		287
		A10

on the other side, or at least that's what we seem to be able to read.
There is no "black mark on top".

ALSO:

C45 is suposed to be 2pf. The closest match we have has "2.2" on it.

Can someone tell us if we have the right parts here?

Thanks.

73, Brian (W3BW) and Zane (W2YL)
